Enkidu Lamps are designed to deliver a balanced white light by combining 24 high-power LEDs in different colors. They are one of the brightest hypnagogic lamps on the market and are gentle on the eyes. The color spectrum of Enkidu Lamps is rich in red light for its beneficial effects on the eyes, and cyan color for effective stimulation of the pineal gland.
Most light machines in the market use only cool or warm white LEDs, which have an unbalanced light spectrum with a low Color Rendering Index (CRI). White LEDs lack some colors in their light spectra, with very low red and green, while emitting excessive blue and yellow light.
Enkidu Lamps have low blue light and are rich in red and cyan light, with a maximum color peak of around 480nm (the color of light is measured by its wavelength in nanometers). Based on studies, cyan color light causes the peak response of a special photo-receptor in the retina called melanopsin, which is one of the key players in regulating our circadian rhythm. By using more cyan light instead of blue light, Enkidu Lamps deliver effective stimulation to the pineal gland while being safe for the eyes.
